Why connected banking transforms your financial clarity
Banking & Cash Flow
Bank feeds that update without you lifting a finger
Note.now connects to over 10,000 banks and financial institutions via Plaid and Open Banking APIs. Transactions import automatically every day - including those from checking accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, and payment processors like PayPal or Stripe. You always have a current picture of your actual cash balances, not a stale spreadsheet from last week.

Banking & Cash Flow
Reconciliation that takes minutes, not hours
For most businesses, bank reconciliation is one of the most painful monthly tasks. Note.now automates the heavy lifting: it uses smart matching algorithms to pair imported bank transactions with your recorded invoices, bills, and expenses. Matches that are high-confidence are suggested; you approve with one click. Only unmatched or ambiguous transactions need manual attention.

Banking & Cash Flow
Transaction rules that code themselves
Once you categorize a transaction from a specific merchant (e.g. always coding Dropbox to "Software & Subscriptions"), Note.now remembers. The next time that merchant appears in your feed, the transaction is auto-coded and ready to reconcile. You can also set rules based on reference numbers, amounts, or account patterns - turning repetitive bookkeeping into a one-time setup task.

The price of poor cash flow visibility
“82% of small businesses that fail cite cash flow problems as the cause”
US Bank research consistently shows that cash flow mismanagement - not lack of profit - is the top reason small businesses close. Real-time visibility is the first step to avoiding that outcome.
“Manual bank reconciliation takes an average of 5.5 hours per month for SMBs”
That is over 66 hours per year spent on a task that Note.now reduces to minutes. Automated feeds and smart matching give those hours back to you.
Connect, reconcile, and forecast - all in one place

Frequently asked questions
Is it safe to connect my bank account to Note.now?
Note.now uses bank-grade encryption and connects via read-only APIs (Plaid, Open Banking). We never have access to move money or change your account settings. The connection is the same technology used by mainstream financial apps. Your credentials are never stored by Note.now.
What if my bank is not supported by the automatic feed?
You can always import transactions manually via CSV export from your bank's online portal. Note.now supports standard bank export formats and provides a mapping tool to handle different column layouts. Once imported, transactions go through the same matching and reconciliation workflow.
How far back does the bank feed import transactions?
Most bank connections allow up to 90 days of historical transactions on the initial import. For older data, CSV import is the recommended approach. Note.now can handle large historical imports and will attempt to match historical transactions against any invoices or bills already recorded in the system.
