Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between EBITDA and net profit?

EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation) shows operating performance before non-cash items. Net profit is what remains after all costs including tax.

Should I use cash or accrual accounting?

This template supports either. For accrual accounting, enter revenue when earned and expenses when incurred. For cash accounting, record when money moves. Most growing businesses use accrual accounting.
